Approve images for use as catalog items

Approve images for use as catalog items

After you establish the Amazon account and configure Amazon Web Services on the instance, you retrieve the list of available images and approve them to be used as templates for service catalog offerings. You can use only approved images to create catalog offerings.

Before you begin

Role required: cloud_admin, aws_admin

Procedure

  1. Administration > Account and select the account containing the images you want to approve.
  2. Under Related Links, click Update images. The system populates the EC2 Virtual Machine Instances related list with the names of the virtual machines in the account.
  3. Select an image from the list and review its configuration.

  4. Click Approve. The image is not yet available to users and must be configured as a service catalog offering by the cloud administrator.
