Create a budget owner

Create a budget owner to manage budget plans and budget forecasts associated with the account code the plan is using.

Before you begin

Role required: budget owner

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Financials > Administration > Budget Owners.
  2. Click New.
  3. Fill out the User and Parent Budget Owner fields on the form (see table).

    Field Description
    User Select a user with the budget_owner role in the system.
    Parent Budget Owner Enter a parent budget owner, if necessary. Parent budget owners have access to everything that child budget owners have access to.
  4. Right-click the header and select Save.
  5. Using the related lists, add the budget forecasts, and budget keys that this budget owner can manage.
  6. Click Update.
